Yesterday evening we drove out towards Saswad with a couple of
friends. During the monsoons one just needs to drive a few kms outside the city
of Pune to enjoy the pleasures of a hill station. We took the Khondwa road to
reach atop this hill with a picturesquely placed Shiva Temple. We were
completely blown away! I mean literally – the breeze was tremendous and brr
chilly and the view breath-taking. Here are some pictures to soothe the eyes.

On the way back we visited this grand Jain temple in Katraj. We were just in time to grab some hot, hot 'wada pavs' at the popular stall on MG Road, which made for a perfect July sunday outing.
